The Lord's Prayer

Our Father, Who art in heaven,

Hallowed be Thy name.

Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done,

On earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,

And forgive us our trespasses

As we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,

But deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hallowed means honored and praised.
Thy Kingdom Come means that we that we are aware that this world is not all there is; that our life will continue forever in His Kingdom of heaven.
Thy will be done means that we subjugate our will to that of God, because we realize that He knows a lot more than we do and will take good care of us.
Our daily bread is what we need for life, both in this world and in the next.
To trespass is to sin, or do wrong.
As we forgive those who trespass against us means that God expects us not to hate anyone or hold grudges. We are to forgive everyone, no matter what, if we expect Him to forgive us.
Lead us not into temptation means that we hope to receive extra help staying out of trouble by avoiding things that cause us to sin. Deliver us from evil means that we certainly want Him to protect us from the evil people in this world, and from evil everywhere.
